02. Principles related to BR as per National Voluntary Guidelines
The National Voluntary Guidelines on Economic, Environmental and Social responsibilities of Businesses released by the
Ministry of Corporate Affairs has adopted 9 Principles related to BRR. These are as follows:

Businesses will provide goods and services that are safe and contribute to sustainability throughout their lifecycle.

Businesses will respect the interests of and be responsive towards all the Stakeholders, especially those who are
disadvantaged, marginalised and vulnerable.

Environment
Businesses will respect, protect and make efforts to restore the environment.

Policy advocacy
Businesses, when engaged in influencing public and regulatory policy, will do so in a responsible manner.
