Relief measures to support needy
Contribution:
Atul Ltd has contributed ₹ 3 cr to PM CARES Fund and ₹ 2 cr to Gujarat
Chief Minister Relief Fund to support the government to manage the crisis.
Ensure availability of ration:
Many migrant and unorganised sector workers lost their
source of earning due to sudden lockdown announced in the country. The Foundation
has supported 3,887 families from 25 villages by providing them grocery kits. All the
precautions and guidelines were followed during the process of making and distributing
kits.
Support to migrant workers:
The Foundation has assisted the migrant workers to
reach their native place safely. They were also provided with water and refreshments
to sustain them during their long journey back home.
Cooked meal for needy people:
During the COVID-19 lockdown, many labourers,
daily wage earners and homeless people faced diffculties to get a single square meal
per day. To reduce their agony and struggle for food, Atul Foundation in association
with Lokmangalam Charitable Trust provided cooked meals to 400 needy people from
Valsad city.
